INTRODUCTION Sabak Bernam- Sabak Bernam is one of the most important districts in the state. It has an area of 242.560 acres. Adjoining the northern state of Perak, where the River Bernam as border. Adjoining the Hulu Selangor district in the east, Kuala Lumpur is located in the south, while in the south west is facing the Straits of Malacca. Generally Sabak Bernam district has three main areas of material and become the focal population in this area. The city is Sekinchan, Sungai Besar and Sabak Bernam own town. Community area consists of multi-racial and largely from the Malays. From experience in this area is famous as a center for agriculture and livestock.
HISTORY OF THE ORIGIN of Sabak Bernam- According to oral sources, Sabak Bernam origin of the name comes from the word "why six" which tells the story of six friends on the way down the river, but was prevented piece of wood that span the river. With six companions eventually exhausts the timber can be removed. Because the incident involved eventually named the place 'cause sixes' and eventually evolved into Sabak Bernam. Sabak Bernam early settlers of this area is comprised of those who 'Bajau Laut' but today it has expanded rapidly and occupied by people of all races. Since the 17th century Sabak Bernam was known as a district in the State of Selangor. In 1784, Slate was a place of refuge Bernam Sultan Ibrahim in the war against the Dutch. In 1824 it was ruled by Sultan Ibrahim with his followers, including his son and his friend Raja Raja UNOS. King founded the city of UNOS across NSW (Sabak Bernam town now) while Raja has been set up across the city of Perak is now better known as Kampung Kota. The following year, Prince Sultan Ibrahim, Raja Muhammad (1826-1857) has been given recognition and full authority over the District Sabak Bernam.
MUSEUM DISTRICT Sabak Bernam- Sabak Bernam District Museum is located on Market Street Sabak Bernam town, adjacent to the District Library building and dealing with Sabak Bernam Jamek Mosque District with an area of ??approximately 1135 square feet. In general, Sabak Bernam District Museum is the theme of heritage and historical information relating to agriculture and fisheries in District Sabak Bernam Selangor State in particular and general. It is as one of the government's efforts in promoting the entry of tourists in the state and making it one of the ideal reference resource for the present generation and future. MUSEUM DISTRICT Sabak Bernam A BRIEF HISTORY OF AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES SELANGOR The principal activities of the community in the state in the beginning, especially in the area are agriculture Sabak Bernam. Early community when it undertakes two types of dry rice and rice crops. Involves the clearing of forest hill crops for one or two seasons of planting vegetable crops. Today, with government encouragement, especially in the emphasis on bio-technology has somewhat boosted agricultural production in the state, especially in the era of Progressive NSW 2005. The fisheries sector in the state are starting earlier and grow more slowly, the traditional fishing community with limited equipment such as nets, nets, traps and so on. Some of their fishing activities center around the fields, irrigation canals, rivers and the coast. Even so, short and long term planning by the government to change the sector more viable.
